A very big & painful pimple grew on my right cheek last Friday. I thought it was because I went back to the gym & all the sweat & pollution made me break out. But then my visitor came today & ugh I just hate pre-mens pimples. They’re the worst. I also had the worst ever dysmenorrhea I have ever experienced in my whole life earlier today. I felt like stabbing my uterus. Oh the pains of being a woman.
Here are some of the products that have helped me in killing my insane pimple:
- Iunik Tea Tree Serum
- Herbs and Hyssop Clear Facial Oil
- Herbs and Hyssop Blue Tansy Oil— I used this to help calm it & reduce the pain since this has antibacterial & anti-fungal properties.
- Mandala Secrets PH Tea Tree Toner — I find that it’s too strong for my skin when used as a toner- i get the feeling like I’m spreading alcohol on my face when I use this cause it feels just like that. But when I use this as spot treatment, it works like magic. I just apply this on an the spot of my face where I feel like I’m going to break out & i can feel it killing all the dirt. This works best for white head pimples. It just slays it in seconds. Just make sure to apply a hydrating toner to help calm it cause it may leave some redness. Also, I hope they work on the smell cause it smells like hospital medicine/ alcohol for me. Aside from that this is a good product to keep for breakout seasons.
Two years ago, Rraw PH, a local apothecary brand, came out with their line of body oils. As a crazy body oil lady, I knew I had to get my hands on them.
⠀
A little background on my oil story: I am highly dependent on body oils. I use them every day, during and after showers. I use the Sunflower Oil from Human Nature while taking a bath & use my beloved Neutrogena body oil after drying with a towel. I noticed that when I hit my 20’s, my skin has become drier compared before & body oils have definitely helped me in that arena. My skin has become so dependent on body oils that I think it knows when I don’t use them.
⠀
I bought 2 body oils from Rraw— Chamomile & Jasmine (I ended up giving this to a skincare friend)
⠀
It smells a lot like cinnamon & ugh I love the smell of cinnamon. The oil is thicker compared to Neutrogena body oil, & may need a bit more rubbing to fully spread on the skin. It feels heavier compared to the Neutrogena one but still absorbs easily. It’s definitely moisturizing, I’ll tell you that. BUT moisturizing only for a few hours. I used to apply this at night & I noticed that when I wake up I can no longer feel the oil nor its residue.
The pollens/ petals also clog the pump, making it difficult to dispense the product. It’s aesthetically pleasing, yes, but gives a hard time for the user to pump out the oil.
⠀
I still want to try their other oils cause they look so pretty. I just hope they work on the pump.
Because I am still backtracking my posts for this blog, here's a routine I posted on Instagram last year. This was the time when it was always a skincare fiesta when I get to my vanity table. My mind would rattle on what to use.
Here are the products in the pic with my rating for each product:
- Tiam Global Vita B5 Toner— 5/5 (my holy grail toner)
- Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolise Amploue — 5/5 (Favorite ampoule! I love propolis so much. Also the brand goes by the name Dr. Ceuracle now)
- Herbs and Hyssop Glow Facial Oil — 4/5 (I've tried all the facial oils from Herbs and Hyssop and this one smells the nicest for me. The scent reminds me of mornings after Christmas, if that makes sense)
- Love from Yours DND Nights Night Cream — 4.5/5 (You can never go wrong with personalized skincare)
- Love from Yours Drop of Perfection Serum — 4.5/5 (This product worked so well for me but please, we need a bigger container!)
- Love from Yours Eye Love Your Serum — 3/5 (An okay eye cream for me because it has the same effects with my trusty Mizon eye cream)
I love textures. It's my favorite hashtag on Instagram. Everyone gets so creative with the kind of art they can make with their products although most argue that it's kind of wasteful. That's why I try to use only expired products for these types of shots as much as possible.
Anyway, here's my take on #texturetuesday.
Products used:
- Rraw Body Frosting (grr I forgot what variant this was)
- Seoul Unni Red Peel Tingle Serum*
- Sudocrem
- Baroness Rose Water Whitening Soothing Gel*

- Skinfood Black Sugar Mask

Jumiso is one of the most popular brands in the skincare community on Instagram. Their sheet masks are some of the most raved about by a number of people I follow. They also launch campaign reviews on their new products for people to test out. The brand is also famous in valuing feedbacks and reviews from customers, thus they've become close to a number of content creators.
One of their most popular products is the All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum. I really wanted to get my hands on this for the longest time and thankfully, the product was one of the freebies during the 7.7 AB Community PH event last July 2019 (I'll try to blog about this event).
About the product:
Description:
a non-water-based and high-concentration serum for brightening. For all skin types, keep your skin radiant with the daily vitamin serum. It helps you keep bright skin tone and have healthy and balanced skin. It contains various vitamin complexes such as A, B, D, E, and K as well as vitamin C and many ingredients that nourish skin, helping skin brightening, soothing, and elasticity care.*
Consistency: Watery with a bit of viscosity
Fragrance: No
How to use:
After using toner, in the essence stage, take an appropriate amount and apply it all over the face to absorb.*
My experience:
Since I owned two bottles of the serum, I was using it as my morning serum for many months. It's fast-absorbing and spreads quite easily on the face. Because of the name, I was expecting brightening results instantly but it took a few weeks or about a month before I saw the effects. The key here with this product is to consistently use it for a period of time so that results can be seen. It acted more of as a good primer on my face rather than a glow booster. While it did both, priming my face and giving me glow, I mostly enjoyed it for it's priming effect. It's been a few months since I've emptied both bottles and my face definitely felt the absence.
I'm just going to stick with my actives for the instantaneous glow that I need. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed using this product and would most likely repurchase it.
